Co Armagh, NI Comments on LEVEL ONE Course April 2022

The Makaton course was fantastic. The trainer was helpful, patient, and creative in the ways he engaged participants over zoom. He gave an insight into the difficulties faced by the deaf community and those with learning difficulties.

I learned a lot of new Makaton signs which I found useful. I teach very young children with special educational needs, some that are nonverbal so I feel I can communicate better with them.

This Makaton training was excellent, even via zoom. The tutor was highly informative, knowledgeable and had a great sense of humour which made training very enjoyable. Highly recommend this course.

I thought the Makaton course was very beneficial. I really enjoyed the course and if there was an opportunity to further develop my learning, I would take it. I felt that I learnt and gained a lot of knowledge from this course which I hope to apply to in my career. The course was very well-delivered, and I thoroughly enjoyed learning from it.

I found the Level 1 Makaton training fantastic. I already use it in my work setting and wanted to gain a certificate in it. Grant was a brilliant tutor, and I would love to complete more Makaton courses through the ABC council funded programmes.

I attended a zoom Makaton course which was very useful and will give me confidence in communicating with those who use Makaton as a means of communication. I would be interested in further training if available.
